Outdoor Concepts, the Dubai-based outdoor lifestyle company with its own brand of outdoor lifestyle accessories called ‘Caveman’ (comprising a range of products from barbecues to outdoor torches all built around the theme of ‘making fire’) has teamed up with BeefEater, Australia’s leading barbecue brand, to launch a new series of high quality barbecue units for the Middle East market the BBQ Evolution range.

The new Beefeater range for Caveman has been designed specifically to meet the quality/value demands of younger residents/ households in the UAE and is already available through leading supermarkets and hypermarkets in Dubai and Bahrain. The new product range offers high quality porcelain enamel coated and cast iron grills and hot plates for longer life, quartz start ignition, powder coated steel carts, all built by BeefEater for ‘Caveman’ and backed by a one year warranty. There are three products in the new series three, four and five burner options each with a choice of side burner or steel cabinet.

It will help you

It will help you remember key points. Patterns are easier to recall than isolated facts. For example, how does the speaker begin and end each topic? With a brief summary of the main idea? What about details or examples? Are they used to make certain points? Can you easily see the relationship between the points presented? It?s likely you?ll find more organization in prepared speeches and seminar presentations than teleconferences, particularly interviews. But presenters almost always start with some idea of structure even if they drift off course. Do your best to find it.

Take Notes.

It?s true what they told you back in school. Taking notes enhances listening and recall. When you take notes, though, don?t go overboard with detail or they just become another distraction. Tie them to the patterns and structure you find. Not everything is equally important. Be selective. Think of your notes in terms of review.

18) Rhymester?s Shadow

With roots and filled-in hollow air,

He writes to you poetic obscurities;

He goes, my friend, where

The homeless dare: where

?Beauty is for the few? and into

The boundless cosmos and tombs;

Into and onto exotic landscapes,

Where poems?like bones?

Have decomposed;

Where darkness comes like all shadows:

To lock you in its tombs?.

Dim and gray is his twilight,

As slowly dies his days?

But fate?s poetic obscurities,

Would have it no other way:

For the Rhymester?s shadows?

Never rest.

19) The Executioner of Chan Chan

Writ after visiting Chan Chan, an archeological site in Northern Peru.

Hungry, fearless, in a faceless form,

Likened to a mask, a monster forlorn,

He was the woe, the living dead,

From nightmares he was fed?

The Executioner of Chan Chan.

Bleak was his dawn, cold his heart,

Lulled by those whom would soon die?

Subdued by the temples? mud-baked

Bricks?he decapitated his lot, sacrificially?

This Moche Warrior of Chan Chan.

Think Green

Think Green

Business Link Yorkshire and Humber is offering local businesses the chance to save money and boost their green credentials with these tips: Turn off all office equipment when not in use – overnight, at weekends and bank holidays.

A single computer and monitor left on for 24 hours a day will cost more than Pounds 50 a year.

Turn off lights in empty rooms and replace bulbs with energy saving ones.

Lighting costs can be cut by as much as 15 per cent by simply turning off lights in rooms and corridors that aren”t being used.

Reduce water consumption by turning off taps fully and fixing any drips.

A constantly dripping tap can waste 500,000 litres of water per year, which could cost your business about Pounds 400 per annum.

Examine waste disposal costs and consider partnering with a nearby business to recycle your waste.

Look at whether your waste could be turned into another business” raw materials.

Your business can save four to five per cent of its turnover by using waste minimisation techniques.

Keep heating at a constant level and ensure doors and windows are shut when using heating or air conditioning.

Your heating costs will go up by eight per cent each time you increase the temperature by just one degree.

A patient usually experiences strange sensations

A patient usually experiences strange sensations and emotions before the seizure. This is to be considered as a warning of an epilepsy attack and is called an aura. However, occurrence of a seizure does not necessarily mean that a person has epilepsy. When a person has had two or more seizures, doctors view it as a case of epilepsy.

Apart from the common symptom of seizures, each type of epilepsy has its own set of symptoms. A patient suffering from grand mal seizure may stare blankly and will experience severe convulsions, jerking of arms and legs, loss of consciousness and loss of bowels or bladder control.

The symptoms of absence seizure include staring, brief body jerks, mainly involving arms and brief loss of attention and activity. Patients are described as being ” zoned out.” The symptoms of a simple partial seizure include jerking of one part of the body like a hand or foot.

GEORGE Osborne’s life has been privileged in more ways than one.

Not only born with a silver spoon in his mouth, he’s now been handed economic recovery on a plate.

Labour took the flak for the downturn and were sacked by the electorate yet yesterday’s GDP figures add weight to claims that previous policies were beginning to work wonders.

In the past fortnight we have had confirmation of another fall in unemployment and a surprise jump in shop sales.

Underpinning the recovery is something that’s hard to measure, yet critical: confidence. Confidence is behind 10,000 more job vacancies, confidence is behind families spending (at the right price). In short, confidence helped the economy to bounce back.

Fuelling that confidence is record low interest rates – set to remain low for now – and Labour’s injection of public funds in the depths of the downturn.

REVENGE MISSION

REVENGE MISSION

TRACY Waggott believes Shadowtime has a “fighting chance” of achieving further Beverley honours this afternoon.

The teak-tough five-year-old has racked up three course-and- distance victories on the Westwood, and again goes for gold in the Wilford Watts Memorial Handicap.

Waggott’s stable-star has only once failed to make the frame in 10 starts at Beverley, and finished third behind the re-opposing Celtic Change in this race 12 months ago.

His proud trainer is again confident of a bold bid in a hot- looking renewal of the one-mile contest.

“He perhaps doesn’t have the pace of some of them, but he loves that stiff uphill finish,” said County Durham-based Waggott.

“Because he’s as tough as old boots, he’s always in a position to win at Beverley because he often grinds them down in a finish.

“Hopefully he’ll be there or thereabouts again.”

Shadowtime has this season shown his zest for racing remains intact – especially in East Yorkshire.

He has already twice tasted glory at Beverley this term, including on his penultimate start when clinically defeating Avonrose by a length and a quarter.

With that rival having trotted up at Ascot on Friday, the form obviously looks watertight.

Indeed, he also lost no caste in defeat on his most recent foray at his favourite track when second behind Ian McInnes’ well- handicapped Carlitos Spirit.

“It’s a hot enough race, but he finished third behind the top one (Celtic Change) last year and that horse is 10lb higher now,” added Waggott.

“He’s firing on all cylinders at home, but I’d have maybe have liked the race to come a few days later as he had quite a hard race last time.

“But he’s definitely got a fighting chance of winning again.”

Shadowtime is not the only Beverley standing dish in the race, with top-weight Celtic Change bidding for a third course success.

Westwood regulars will also be acutely aware of Danehillsundance, who is three times a Beverley scorer.

Other interesting candidates in an absorbing nine-runner field include the hat-trick-seeking Ailsa Craig and Cherry Bee, the Mark Johnston-trained three-year-old who is returning from a 337-day absence.

INSHORT Shadowtime will look to bounce back from coming second behind Celtic Change in the Wilford Watts Memorial Handicap in 2009.
